Day Two Record Recap

The 13-14 boys destroyed another relay record at Junior Olympics this morning, winning the 400m free relay in 4:00.03. Rex Riley, Steven Marn, Steven Owens and Jack Mahoney beat the 2002 standard by 15 seconds.
From this morning’s prelims, Jack Mahoney broke Frank Krakowski’s 1997 team record in the 13-14 50m free with a 25.82. The old mark was 26.10.
Rex Riley’s 2:44.10 time in the 13-14 200m breaststroke erased Justin’s Slick’s 2001 standard of 2:48.15.
Jonathan Ekas broke Greg VanVolkenburg’s 2002 record of 1:02.95 in the senior 100m back with a 1:00.98.
